Jamie's Bio

Played his minor hockey in Brampton, Ontario Canada.

Played Jr. B for the Brampton Capitals at age 14.

Drafted as a 15yr old under age to the Owen Sound Platers in the OHL, Jamie played 163 games in his Jr Career with the Owen Sound Platers and Windsor Spitfires.

In his 3rd year was awarded Goalie of the Year for the OHL, Named goalie of the First Team All Star, Played in the All Star Game. Made Team Canada and won Gold at the World Jr. Hockey Tournament. Was Named Goalie of the Tournament. Played for Team Canada in the World Championships where the only 2 members of the team that were not in the NHL yet were Jamie and Paul Kariya.

Was Drafted 7th Overall in the 1st round to the LA Kings in 1994 (was the second highest goalie at that time behind Grant Fuhr 5th over all) Made the opening roster as a 19 year old and won his first game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Made the All Rookie Team in the NHL for the LA Kings 97-98.

Played for the LA Kings from 1994-2003 where he is 4th over all in games played(205) by a kings goalie and 2nd over all in shutouts(16) by a Kings goalie behind Rogie Vachon.

Played in the NHL for LA Kings, Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers.

Also played 2 half seasons for the Phoenix Road Runners and the Long Beach Ice Dogs in the IHL 94-96.

Played in the AHL for 2 seasons towards the end of his career in North America for the Utah Grizzles, Springfield Falcons 2004-05 and the Philadelphia Phantoms in 2005-06.

Signed with the Dusseldorf Metro Stars in the German Elite League (DEL) 2006-07 Named Goalie of the Year in the DEL for the year 06-07. Signed a 2 year extension through 2009 for the Metro Stars.

Has played and won 5 gold metals representing his country (Canada).

Under 17 Champions Team Ontario 91-92, Under 18 Team Canada Champions 92-93, World Jr Champion94-95 and again 95-96, Team Canada World Champion 94-95. Has never lost a game while playing for Team Canada in International Competitions.

Currently going into his 15 year Professional. Jamie has dressed in over 600 games in the NHL, playing 224 games in the NHL, 105 games in the IHL, 91 games in the AHL, 111 games in the DEL totaling 531 games played Professional.
